It’s almost summer, and the thoughts of new life, planting our gardens, and the yard come to mind. There are many opportunities to gather with other gardeners to learn and get new ideas.
The “Think Spring” gardening workshop was presented by the Chippewa Valley Master Gardener’s Association (CVMGA) earlier this spring. It is an annual event. This year, it was held in Chippewa Falls, with over two hundred participants, displays, and presenters.
Other county master gardening groups have been busy as well. The Eau Claire Master Gardeners held their gardening seminar in February. The Barron County Master Gardeners just had their Spring Expo in April.
Various botany, horticulture, plant (such as hostas), and gardening clubs have scheduled activities, plant sales, field trips, lectures and outings. Webinars about garden problems, gardening basics, and pest control are becoming more of “the” thing. It’s like people are bursting with energy, like the earth bringing forth her spring grasses and colors.
